About Ryan Tripp

Full-time guide since age 18, licensed to guide in California, Oregon, and Alaska.

Ryan grew up in Northern California and learned to fish from guides in the region, including his father. He became a full-time guide at 18, when he earned his U.S. Coast Guard captain's license, and has over a decade on the water.

Trips run from a 24-foot Willie jet boat or a custom 17-foot Willie drift boat. The drift boat has a built-in heater. Gear, tackle, and bait are provided, and Ryan cleans and packages the fish. Bring a valid fishing license with the appropriate tags, food and drinks for a 6-8 hour day, layered clothing, and a life jacket for any angler under 13.
